Workshops
The purpose of X-Net’s workshops is to create a space in which a group of people with an interest in interdisciplinary research can meet to discuss questions, brainstorm ideas, identify problems, and develop solutions. X-Net’s workshops create a space for deep, meaningful work to happen and also help to establish connections among the interdisciplinarians or participants attending the workshop.
X-Net workshops are always facilitated by independent professionals, unrelated to the network; this facilitator leads the group through the process and activities proficiently designed beforehand and delivers unbiased and impartial reports about the outcomes. This makes it easier for the group to focus entirely on the content of the workshop and to make meaningful progress in an interactive way.
The outcomes of the workshops will inform the roadmap which will be presented to funding bodies and policy makers, with the aim of improving interdisciplinary research in UK.
